A leading worldwide insurance company are currently looking for a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team based in the City of London. As an Accounts Assistant you will be the sole support to the VAT department Main responsibilities; To record all bank transactions within the company's ledgers and VAT returns Assist with completion of period end reconciliations To perform all purchase ledger activities Completing balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner Create new supplier accounts within the purchase ledger Requirements; High attention to detail is essential for this role Setting up systems and documenting procedures Strong knowledge of compliance policies and procedures High Level of self management Previous Account Assistant experience is desirable
