Management Consultancy based in London's West End is looking for a Finance Manager to join it's friendly but dynamic team. The client is a small and relaxed firm, but with with a vibrant and dynamic culture. They are looking for a confident self-starter with excellent communications skills and a can-do attitude. The role reports into the CFO as the only other member of the Finance team so the role is a hands on, top-to-bottom sole role, involving transactional management as well as month end and year end reporting and analysis. However the role also offers excellent potential to work closely with the CFO on the more commercial and strategic aspects of managing the companies finances. Duties: Producing monthly Management accounts. Producing monthly Trade accounts. Carrying out monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations. Calculating and posting all journals including; accruals, prepayments, depreciation, payroll and closing month-end. In charge of the expense policy and ensuring employees are 100% compliant. Responsible for cost control. Producing monthly budget reviews for each budget holder and challenging spend per category to ensure value for money. Controlling AP & AR transactions and settlements (there is only a low volume of transactions and this should only account for 10-20% of the role). Responsible for all bank accounts ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet the business needs & liaising with 3rd party currency providers to obtain the best market rate. Producing weekly payment runs. Processing UK & US payroll ensuring compliance with HMRC & US Federal and State requirements. Liaising with Irish Revenue to recover withholding tax In charge of all insurance renewals ensuring the right level of cover is obtained. Working closely with the Auditors, being the main point of contact for all queries to ensure timely completion of year-end accounts and statutory annual returns Requirements: The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid PQE expereince. Candidates must be able and willing to work in a small team environment i.e. performing a role that requires all transactional accounting elements as well as month end and year end duties Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be well suited to working in a relaxed and friendly environment, in which finance and non-finance staff mix regularly Candidates must be hungry to own the role, become an important part of the company, and get involved in the strategic running of the company (in conjunction with the CFO) Candidates must be able to supervise their own work in an unstructured environment Candidates must be dedicated with a can-do attitude, and have excellent attention to detail Strong IT skills, particularly, MS Excel, are required
