Our client, a successful and well-respected finance house based on the Surrey/SW London border have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Asset Finance underwriter to join their expanding team. The successful applicant will be a key member of the company's established and well respected credit team and will be tasked with assessing a wide range of businesses across various channels, focussing on middle-ticket leasing transactions, typically in the £200,000-£1.5m range. Working fairly autonomously, you will analyse credit and financial information to make corporate underwriting decisions within your designated authority. You will also contribute in other ways within the department such as discussing proposals with introducers where required, assisting with regular reviews of credit policies, providing regular management information / recommendations and being involved with process improvements. Previous experience underwriting asset finance business is essential. Applicants should also be well educated and have first class communication skills.
