Role Overview: A Trainee Management Accountant role has been created at the Galliford Try Partnerships South West business unit. The role will be based in the Exeter office. The Candidates will be fully AAT qualified. Key
Responsibilities:
Preparation of management accounts on a monthly basis Assisting with the internal and external audits Bank reconciliations on a weekly basis Reconciliation of inter-company balances on a monthly basis Preparation of monthly VAT returns with assistance Preparation and input of journals, prepayments and accruals Compliance with GDPR/AML and safeguarding company assets Assisting in weekly and monthly reporting to Group. Any other finance duties as directed & required Personal Skills: Have strong inter-personal skills to enable effective communication at all levels Forward thinking with regards to ideas and efficiencies that can be made Eagerness to learn and with a can - do attitude Able to produce information accurately and to the stipulated deadlines Ability to work well in a team Business aware Attention to detail Experience and Qualifications: AAT qualified Looking to further their qualifications by route of CIMA/ACCA Good technical use of Excel - e.g. pivot tables (training will also be provided) Desirable Skills: Use of Oracle Preparing management accounts Previous background in preparation of VAT returns In Return: We offer an opportunity to work on some of the UKs most exciting housing developments, in a fast paced environment where each day brings new challenges.
