About the role We are looking for a seasoned auditor to join our Assurance team supporting the whole of Gas Transmission (GT). Travel is therefore a necessity and the role has no fixed location. As one of GT's auditors you will: organise and deliver the 2nd Line Management Assurance programme across the business, be responsible for verifying that suitable business controls are place throughout the business, report on key findings to embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the end to end processes, act as a single point of contact for Gas Transmission on a range of technical projects and issues. You'll focus on enabling consistent technical practices and knowledge sharing, through technical assurance, process audits and inspection. Key accountabilities Develop and lead the planned audit program, as requested by senior leadership and assigned by the Business Support Team Leader Collaborate with GT to improve haw we operate through, undertaking ad-hoc in-depth audits / investigations of asset management processes / activities. Undertake Technical Assurance audits and inspections to contribute to the overall workforce competency process Manage the Business Improvement Request (BIR) tracker system, recording agreed actions from audits, asset health checks and HSE Inspections, and providing the timely reporting to enable line managers to monitor and progress closure of actions Review and analyse 2nd line management assurance audit reports and Asset Health Checks, to identify trends / common themes, to develop and propose improvement actions. Lead on the development and execution of ISO9001 and PAS 55 external audits as assigned by the Business Support Team Leader. Analyse the potential benefits of new products, materials, methods & systems Manage field trials and deliver implementation programmes for new plant, tools & equipment Coordinate and Compile business cases for the investment in new plant, tools & equipment About you We are looking for a someone who is Analytical : has a structured approach, someone who can understand complex processes and can extract key information from systems and people. Self-motivated : is organised and able to work independently as well as being a 'people person' enabling you to work effectively on your own and as part of the wider team. Adaptable : You'll chair meetings and report your findings to both internal and external stakeholders at various levels so we are looking for someone who can tailor information and style to meet the needs of each group. You will be the 'go to person' for all things audit so we are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and a proven background within an audit/business assurance role. You'll be joining a small but dynamic team so having both the ambition and knowledge to drive excellence within this ever-changing customer focused environment is key Qualifications & Technical knowledge and experience Valid UK Driving Licence as you'll receive a company car, allowing you to visit stakeholders. Knowledge of key asset management life-cycle processes Exposure to high pressure gas transmission assets e.g. terminals, compressor stations, pipelines and above ground installations. What you'll get A competitive salary determined between £37,700 - £47,999 - dependent on capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
