Commercial Financial Controller Pratap Partnership is working exclusively with Audio-Technica as they look to recruit a Commercial Financial Controller to join their team. Working directly with the group CFO you will effectively lead and manage all financial accounting & operations activities within Audio-Technica Limited, including European subsidiaries, ensuring full compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements and Company policies. The job: As Commercial Financial Controller your job will be to lead and develop the Finance team to deliver effective financial accounting, reporting and control activities across the business, developing and implementing appropriate standards, tools and procedures as required. You will work in close collaboration with the ATEU CFO and take responsibility for the delivery and implementation of accounting policy, internal and external financial reporting, financial analysis and forecasting and internal controls and procedures to support the continued growth of the business. A key element of this role is that the Financial Controller will work closely with both sales and marketing teams in the growing demand for commercial insights and support across the business. You will have had previous experience working with Senior Directors and other non-financial commercial stakeholders, encouraging a collaborative approach to drive business performance. Your job will also include:
• Responsibility for the production and timely delivery of the Monthly Financial Pack and the Monthly Consolidation Pack for reporting to Audio-Technica Japan.
• Producing a monthly report in relation to these packs with analysis on variances against budget and against prior year, with focus on the P & L and particularly gross margin.
• Implementing effective and accurate monthly Cash Flow forecasting and provide reports to the ATEU CFO to support business planning.
• Ensuring that all financial transactions across Audio-Technica Limited are accurately recorded.
• Hold monthly meetings with Commercial teams across the EU business to maintain a good understanding of the commercial environment and any challenges; review how the budget has been impacted by these and provide a report to the ATEU CFO analysing the reasons for the variances and proposing actions to mitigate them. The person: You will be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years PQE and have previous experience in a dynamic and fast-moving commercial business. You will have had practical experience "hands on" of managing and developing a team and good experience in working with ERP systems and sound and up to date knowledge of UKGAAP.
