As a fast growing national tax advisory practice, we are looking to recruit a Tax Associate to be based in our Newcastle office. We are a national network of tax specialists with offices in London and North, providing a range of tax advice to clients and their advisers across the UK. Incorporated in 2008, we are a firm of chartered accountants and employ a range of experts including accountants, solicitors and tax advisers, and our Directors have a Big 4 heritage. We have longstanding relationships across the UK with accountancy and tax firms, law firms and financial advisers with a focus on exceptional client service and delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of tax and trust advice to clients, and will assist in the related implementation of such advice. Key duties and
responsibilities:
Assist clients and their advisers in dealing with any HMRC related enquiries or investigations; Providing technical support to a range of advisers and clients on trust or tax advice; Handle incoming client queries, which may relate to previous arrangements, current arrangements, or potentially, future business for the firm; Developing and growing professional relationships with both clients and advisers across the UK through effective and efficient account management; Confident discussions surrounding historic tax advice, and updates regarding the current legislative position. Requirements: Demonstrates strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail; Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts; Ability to work on own initiative and highlight issues as they arise; Ability to work as part of a team and independently prioritise workload, to ensure both personal and team deadlines are met; A self-motived individual with a strong personal drive and desire to succeed; Possess the ability to deliver excellent client service; Previous qualifications e.g. ATT/CTA or ACA/ACCA will be useful but not essential.
