Junior Business Analyst, Camberley, to £24,000 Study Benefits This is a cracking new role working for a large successful business group that will offer a both an immediate challenge as well as long term opportunities. The job reports to the Senior Business Analyst and works in a busy and supportive team environment. You will be responsible for a couple of specific business units whilst also providing support to the greater business in general. Day to day duties in this busy role will be focused around financial reporting and analytical work:
• Delivery of accurate and timely management information.
• Weekly reporting of operational and sales information.
• Monthly reporting of key accounting, sales and operational performance along with regular performance reviews with operational management.
• Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by Senior Management.
• To provide commentary and investigate changes in management information to add value to reports and aid understanding of changing business performance.
• To respond to queries with data accuracy and follow up with investigations of data sources where required.
• To change and adapt management information as required to meet business needs.
• To provide Budgeting, Forecasting and Planning support to the Financial Controller and the Management Accountant.
• To provide assistance and support to the Management Accountant to ensure the accuracy of accounting information
• To actively support the Finance Team in the successful delivery of key business initiatives and projects. Analysis
• Maintain open and good relations with the Operations Director and the Business Unit Managers.
• Support their understanding of key financial processes and measures, and their role in providing timely and good quality information to support business processes
• Challenge and develop their understanding of commercial performance measures and suggest ways to improve.
• To provide assistance and support to their reporting and data needs to manage their business.
• To understand challenges, customer and business performance issues that are specific to individual areas.
• Provide explanation and understanding of Budget targets to Business Unit Managers, and collate feedback to Finance of key issues. This job will suit a bright, enthusiastic graduate level candidate with a relevant degree (accounts, finance, maths, strong science etc) who is looking for a varied role within a big business environment where there will definitely be scope to grow and develop over time in the greater finance arena. Alternatively the role could suit someone with a year or two of all round accounts experience who is looking for a step up into an analytical role. Either way though, they will be looking for someone with drive and ambition, an inquisitive nature, confidence and a desire to learn and to add value. Strong systems ability is a must (Excel in particular). This is a permanent job. Hours of works are 9-5.30 (possibly 8.30-5), basic salary is up to £24k depending on experience plus a bonus based on company performance and personal objectives, 20 days holiday, a joint contributory pension, free parking on site and full study support for relevant qualifications.
