Accounts Assistant £18,000 - £22,000 per annum Mansfield, Nottinghamshire Our client specialises in plastic manufacturing, they have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career with a fast-moving global organisation. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the main focus of the role is on accounts receivable and accounts payable. The role is very hands on, liaising with key stakeholders to obtain and chase data, with strong communication skills used. The Finance Assistant is a development role, concentrating on personal development and progression, with more responsibility being assigned as the role develops. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable: Approx 30 customers Raising sales invoices from dely delivery notes via Sage Posting customer payments Dealing with customer queries Chasing of overdues Accounts Payable Receiving supplier invoices (majority via e-mail) Matching invoices to dely notes/GRN'd Price checking and nominal coding onto Sage of invoices Posting of invoices onto Sage Preparation of monthly supplier payment run plus ad hoc supplier payments Supplier statement recs Dealing with supplier queries Month End Various month end tasks including Posting of month end journals into Sage Assist with other month end tasks Lots of scope to expand month end role with experience. Key Requirements Professional Qualifications Educated to degree level or studying towards a professional qualification in a related discipline Proficient in IT packages particularly Microsoft Excel Experience with Sage 50 preferred Experience Accuracy and attention to detail is essential Comfortable working with a heavy workload and changing demands Organised and a multi-tasker Team player Excellent communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Does the above sound like the opportunity you've been searching for?
