A local charity in Nuneaton have a requirement for a full time, permanent Assistant Finance Manager ideally with experience working in a not-for-profit or charitable organisation. The right candidate will work with the Finance Manager with a real focus on improving existing processes and the financial operations of the charity. The successful candidate will need to have a thorough understanding of transactional finance and experience of working across a wide range of financial tasks. This includes an excellent understanding of the nominal ledger, bank reconciliation, sales order processing, profit and loss accounts, month end reports and cash flow forecasts. Ideally, you will:
• Be working towards a CIMA/ACCA certification and have experience working across a range of finance functions
• Be a social and approachable person, able to conduct yourself professionally and form good relationships with colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and demographics
• Be capable of thinking outside of the day-to-day activities of general accounting work and can seek out opportunities to enhance the business or to improve the performance of the team
• Have managed a team in a finance function In return, you will:
