Job Role : Accounts Assistant Salary : £24,000 - £26,000 Job Type : Permanent Monday - Friday Location : Tamworth Office Angels are currently working with a client who is looking for an Account Assistant to join their small team on a permanent basis. The company is a growing and vastly expanding company looking for an enthusiastic new member to join their finance team. Main Duties & Responsibilities Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. To be dealing with Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivables, Reconciliation & Reporting. Monitoring product listings of retail customers and working with other members of the team to ensure all deliveries are up to date. Book keeping - balancing of purchase and sales ledger Processing Pro Forma invoices and payments Accruals and month end tasks Produce monthly reports The candidate will require experience or knowledge of: Experience in Sage 50 is essential Experience using Excel on an intermediate to advanced level Accounting experience with knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers Knowledge of credit control, expenses, accruals, month end tasks and bank reconciliations Experience creating Pro Forma invoices Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and accounts information Effective verbal and listening communications skills including Attention to detail and high level of accuracy The ideal candidate will: Have strong administration & computer skills, be able to use own initiative & work without supervision, be honest and reliable and to be able to work as part of a small team. Have a flexible and adaptable attitude as the role and duties will change as the company develops its products and procedures. Be organised, tidy and to be able to implement their own processes. Show determination to succeed and develop the business alongside their team members. As well as be proficient in Sage 50 or Accountancy based programs and have experience in accountancy roles.
