Salary:
Up to £23.5k per annum REED Accountancy are working exclusively with a non for profit organisation based in North Birmingham with a view to recruit a senior finance assistant on a permanent basis to join their finance team. Duties include but are not limited to: Complete purchase and sales ledger functions Help to train the apprentice as and when required Liaise with suppliers and investigate queries Ensure suppliers are paid on time as per payment terms Cash book entries and ensure they are correct Reconciling credit card statements and coded correctly on Sage Ensure VAT coding on Sage is correct Adding timesheets onto Sage Payroll Bank reconciliations VAT returns Produce expenses reports for the FD and Finance manager when required Any other ad hoc duties as required Person Specification This vacancy will suit someone who has a mature head on their shoulders who can train and develop another member of staff and will go above and beyond for the organisation. With it being for non for profit, it would suit a candidate who has a great sense of empathy and is passionate about charity work. Must have experience of using Sage Must be experienced in the following: Sales & Purchase Ledger, VAT, Reconcilation work, Internet Banking, Preparation of trial balance & payroll administration Minimum of AAT level 3 qualified or have 3 years' work experience. Any further studies are advantageous but not essential Experience of working in a busy finance team Resilient, enthusiastic and customer focused Excellent team working skills Please apply now if you meet the criteria above
