A large FMCG business in London is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to support the Finance Director as a number 2 and to drive business growth. The purpose of the role is:
• Deliver accurate and timely information of the business performance;
• Ensure that effective controls and procedures are in place across the whole business to provide a framework for accountability, control, review and measurement;
• Deliver financial analysis in line with the Group standards;
• Maintain a mutually supporting team approach;
• Ensure adherence to relevant health and safety / food safety legislation; Key

Responsibilities:

• To update and maintain the Item Master Data to ensure an accurate and robust system for the operations
• To actively support and provide financial analysis for new projects and products' launches. To ensure robust monitoring after implementation to secure that the expected business growth and profitability is delivered.
• To actively interact and work with the manufacturing teams to perform controls and analysis of actual performance vs standards - develop a strong knowledge of the production.
• To develop and maintain a standard cost card template in line with the Group guidance
• To prepare cost cards in line with sales and operations information, and challenge the senior's managers to deliver the expected business growth and profitability
• To produce accurate analysis of the business performance against its budgets and forecast, including any relevant ad-hoc analysis to help delivering the expected business growth and profitability
• To actively control the inventory process and implement any relevant action within the operations to reduce the stock variances.
• To develop a mutual work with Management accountant to analyse the business performance, to prepare budgetary/forecasting information and to develop our cost accounting.
• Being pro-active and propose improvement to develop our global SAP B1 solution for finance
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Accomplishes the result by performing the duty.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
