Senior Accountant The key role of Senior Accountant will deliver robust, understandable financial information for four UK entities, this will include and not restricted to, oversee UK tax accounting and review prepare other tax declarations, balance sheet review and controls, the overseeing of accounts payable and delivery of local and Group audits and will also contribute to the UK month end reporting numbers The role of Senior Accountant will include the following duties and

responsibilities:
Oversee all UK general ledger and accounts payable functions including but not restricted to monthly closings, batch and payment approvals, cash application, account analysis and customer setup and changes. Work with external tax advisers (GTM) to provide all information required to file annual company tax returns. Oversee all UK tax related returns and tax accounting entries to ensure we are tax compliant including the EC sales lists and RDEC declarations Communicate and co-ordinate with the financial department in the US office and with external auditors to assist with the delivery UK audits Identify and resolve financial and reporting issues. Generate and deliver all UK statutory reporting requirements including the UK consolidation incorporating a foreign subsidiary, ensure all reports comply with UK and International accounting standards To oversee and deliver in any tax inspections or tax related questions. Organise the archiving of all financial records at year end. Assist with completion of P11Ds at the end of each tax year for all employees employed during that year, as well as summary form P11D(b), PSA for HMRC. Support the UK Controller in local and Group annual audits conducted by KPMG. To assist KPMG in their audits and with their questions. Assist when necessary with the payroll review process.Following submission by HR dept. of payroll changes to our external bureau, establishing the journal postings to record the monthly payroll and processing the payment of pension contributions.Supporting any payroll inspection visits from HMRC, in tandem with the HR Dept. Discussing the annual PAYE Settlement Agreement with HMRC and dealing with calculation and payment of any liability there under. Assist in analysis of German operations as requested. Support and/or manage special projects as requested, such as the new Oracle implementation which is due to be delivered in the UK To be considered for the Senior Accountant role we are looking for the following skills and experience Chartered Financial Qualification (ACCA or ACA), combined with experience in accounting department, this ideally will include audit experience gained within practice. You will be organised, accurate, and analytical and have good oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills including Excel and accounting software packages are a must What we Offer
