Williams Munroe, Accountancy Practice specialists have been approached by a fantastic, multi-office firm who are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team in Northampton. With four offices surround Northampton, this Accountancy Practice is growing at an increasingly fast rate. The practice and it's partners pride themselves on building strong relationships with all clients as well as regularly introducing new business, ensuring that each client has a dedicated point of contact. This is a firm that are well-known for developing their workforce, encouraging progression from the outset promoting internally. What would your regular responsibilities be? As a Senior Accountant based in the Northampton offices, you will be required to support the Senior Management team, whilst managing a portfolio of clients and managing your own workflow. You'll be responsible for preparing accounts for your portfolio, as well as dealing with personal and corporation tax compliance and any related queries. You will assist with training, developing and management of Junior team members and you'll need to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels. What are the requirements for the Senior Accountant: As a Senior Accountant, you are required to be ACA/ACCA qualified with previous experience of working within Accountancy Practice. You'll have had a good level of exposure to accounts preparation for a variety of sole traders, limited companies and partnerships and you'll need strong IT skills, including the use of Sage, Xero (essential) and Excel. You will also have experience of income tax, capital gains tax and VAT exposure, of which demonstration will be required at interview stage. Whilst the role is based in the Northampton office, you will occasionally be required to travel to other premises and client sites.
