The business has seen dramatic growth over the last decade and due to this are now looking for an Assistant Accountant to add to the business's existing large finance team. The successful applicant will have direct responsibility for producing and analysing the performance across the group Your New Job As Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and detailed variance analysis on expenditure and income streams. Bank and cash management, including short-term and long-range cash forecasting and the preparation of VAT returns. The Assistant Accountant will also be responsible Purchase ledger invoice processing and payments across the wider businesses. Manging the Credit Control function for aged debt and ensure that all debts are paid by customers when falling due, intra-group transfers and reconciliations and providing financial support & analysis to the Heads of Department to enable their understanding of the financial performance for their areas Your Experience & Our Requirements Our Client is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant with a strong understanding of the above listed duties. You will have a good all round knowledge of general accounting procedures and software and have advanced Excel skills and a high level of data analysis. You will have a minimum 3 years' experience within a similar finance role and will be an AAT finalist /qualified, you will preferably be part-qualified in CIMA or have committed to becoming professionally qualified (study assistance will be provided).
