Assistant Finance Manager (Charitable Sector) £28,000 - £31, 500 (depending on experience) Reed Finance is recruiting on behalf of a large, well-known charitable group in Belfast city centre for a full time and permanent Assistant Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity and could be suited to a commercially minded newly finance professional at part qualified, finalist or newly qualified level. Working within a large, structured finance function and supporting (a particularly nice) Finance Manager, the successful applicant will work with the Finance Manager & finance team in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly management accounts & annual statutory accounts. Key responsibilities include: To assist in the preparation of financial accounts, management accounts, budgets and tenders. To assist the Finance Manager in the day to day management of the finance staff. To oversee and administer an effective payroll and accounts system. Ensure that the relevant financial and non-financial information is supplied to a range of business units in accordance with agreed timetables. To liaise with and inform the Senior management team on relevant financial matters. To prepare relevant grant claims and respond, as appropriate, to financial queries. To monitor income, expenditure and internal control systems. To work with internal/external auditors. Any other duties that may from time to time be relevant. To observe all Health and Safety rules and regulations. To partake in relevant training. Essential Criteria: All applicants should be a part qualified, finalist or newly qualified Accountant OR offer at least 4 years' experience of management in a finance function within a large diverse organisation with multiple income streams and cost centres.
