Working as a member of a supportive finance function for a successful and growing organisation based in the Huddersfield area this role will provide direct support to the Finance Controller. This is an evolving position that will grow and develop as the successful individual grows with the business with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility and play a key part in ensuring the finance function operates as smooth as possible. Providing information to support the month end reporting cycle. Process all bank reconciliations. Maintenance and management of the fixed asset ledger Accruals and pre-payments. Assisting in the production and delivery of monthly management accounts. Aid with variance analysis of revenues and costs and follow variances through to recovery. Varying levels or analysis and reporting. Maintain process documentation for processes within the role. This role will suit individuals who have the following skills and experiences: The ideal candidate will have an accounting qualification (ideally AAT qualified or almost qualified). Have previous experience working in a similar role in an accounts team. Proven ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines, be organised, methodical, and be receptive to change. Excellent process delivery/improvement skills. The role requires computer literacy with Excel and other Microsoft Office packages, experience of using Navision software is extremely advantageous Teamwork skills to suit a variety of different situations. Highly numerate. Effective communication with finance and non-finance teams.
