THE COMPANY: Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Ledger Accountant for a service provider based in Barnsley. Close to the motorway they are commutable from Wakefield, Sheffield and Rotherham. THE JOB: The main purpose of the role is to support the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functions and assist in delivering financial control and transactional activities across the business. Duties will include: Purchase Ledger: Balance sheet reconciliations associated with trade creditors Cover for the Purchase Ledger Controller during absence Purchase ledger reporting Ensure process and procedures are clearly documented Other ad hoc duties as required Sales Ledger: Balance sheet reconciliations associated with trade debtors Co-ordination of debt collection and credit control processes working with the Sales Ledger Controller Cover for the Sales Ledger Controller during absence Managing the legal debt recovery process Ensuring high levels of customer service are met Be the initial point of contact for any customer complaints Accruals and prepayments Ensure process and procedures are clearly documented Bank reconciliations Cashflow forecasting Maintaining the General Ledger Managing 2 members of staff Other ad hoc duties as required THE PERSON: Previous experience is essential You must be numerate and able to demonstrate knowledge of sound financial working practices The ability to work to deadlines, respond to priorities - individually and as part of a team is essential You must be computer literate with advanced Excel skills Excellent written and verbal skills are essential Excellent telephone manner to deal confidently with customers BENEFITS: Competitive salary Free on site parking 37 hour working week 25 days holiday stats Life Assurance Pension Brewster Partners Recruitment Group focuses on the recruitment of talent in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
