Penhill Jones is currently recruiting for a Temporary Assistant Accountant for one of the worlds leading healthcare organisations. This role is based in one of their regional head offices in Nottingham. The position requires advanced computer skills (particularly Microsoft Excel) as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven analytical skills experience would be an advantage to help drive the business to the next level. The successful candidate will also have: Previous experience in an accounting role Proven ability to work to deadlines Advanced Computer Skills (particular Microsoft Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business Analytical skills and the tenacity to drill further into information The ideal candidate will have experience in: Journal preparation & entries - accruals, prepayments etc. Balance Sheet reconciliations Healthcare industry experience (NHS included) Someone who is analytical and confident in dealing with a large volume of data Ability to perform bank reconciliations Able to assist and cover for other areas within the department as and when Deputise where necessary for the Finance Manager You'll be an AAT qualified or qualifying accountant who is career focused, articulate, personable and ready for the next step in your career.
