Reed Accountancy Oxfordshire are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a successful distributor who are relocating to the Bicester area, and seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their small Finance team, reporting to an Accounts Manager. As the Accounts Assistant, your core duties will be: Processing sales invoices on a daily basis Raising returns credit notes and manual credit notes daily, ensuring all have relevant authorisation Ensuring all sales ledger invoices and credits are sent in a timely fashion Sending invoices by email to relevant customers, uploading to relevant customer portals Scanning and indexing sales and purchase invoices Balancing an preparing customer cheques received for banking Receiving supplier invoices, ensuring purchase order is correctly authorised by Managers or Directors as required Checking invoice rates, ensuring invoices are correctly authorised and matched with delivery note Producing monthly, weekly and ad hoc BACS payments to suppliers Receive and accurately enter invoices from designated freight forwarders for VAT, freight and haulage Balancing company petty cash on a monthly basis and accounting for any variances Assisting the wider finance team in month end duties including the sending of statements and overdue account letters. Any other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Accounts Manager Ideally you will have experience in both purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash, banking and credit control to be considered for this position.
