You will be working for a highly successful engineering and manufacturing company with creativity at its core. The company has grown substantially in recent years and plans to continue that growth. They have a strong market position both in the UK and Internationally and a team that work together creating bespoke pieces, using hand crafted and traditional methods. They are looking for a Finance Manager, to replace a long standing member of the team to take full responsibility for the financial administration and processes within the organisation to drive expansion, profits and cashflow. By undertaking cost benefit analysis of opportunities produce detailed reports and financial models and plans to assist the business in making strategic decisions. Responsibilities:
Management Information - provide daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc MI as required to understand and manage the business. Financial Accounting - maintain integrity of accounts including up to date reconciliations. Cashflow management and visibility. Budget/re-forecast process - to manage these processes together with the Commercial Manager and Managing Director. Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions Review financial data and prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports Track the company's financial status and performance identifying areas for potential improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Develop relationships with Group FD and external advisors / auditors as required Assist with the planning and upkeep of stock controls In conjunction with the Commercial Manager produce and maintain up to date price lists. Manage projects including moving the accounts from Quickbooks to Sage, improved Group Reporting, review of credit card payments. Manage, motivate and develop staff to do bank reconciliation, purchase ledger and other functions. Essential Requirements: Part or Qualified Accountant / QBE with a minimum of 3 years experience Excellent excel skills - pivot tables, vlookup etc Experience of small company pc-based accounting software egQuickBooks and/or Sage. Able to communicate effectively at all levels and operate as a trusted partner to the management team. Helpful but not essential Payroll experience. Knowledge of and experience working within an engineering / manufacturing /process environment. Experience of International trading and handling foreign transactions.
