Accounts Assistant Objective: Use cloud accounting to provide up-to-date information and exceptional service to clients

York Working hours: 37.5 per week, worked between Monday to Friday

Salary:
Up to £22,000 depending on experience Practice experience preffered We are recruiting for our client based in York, this is a busy professional services office where you will be part of a growing and friendly team. We are looking to speak with candidates who are ideally AAT Level 4 qualified with a desire to progress. Practice experience would be an advantage but not essential. The Role Payroll processing using Xero and Star software General bookkeeping and managing bookkeeping workflow using our online portal Using technology to streamline the bookkeeping process and liaising with clients for weekly updates Management accounts preparation using our cloud based workpapers Liaising with the yearend compliance team What are we looking for? Minimum AAT Level 4 Experience using cloud accounting packages Experience in Practice is an advantage but not essential Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn Good IT skills, including experience of using different accounting packages or systems (ideally Xero) and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills Ability to work to deadlines Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels Accurate, methodical and organised Smart and personable Due to the volume of applications we receive if you have not heard from the managing consultant within 1 week please assume you have not been short listed.
