Senior Commercial Finance Analyst - Opus Energy Northampton £50,000-£60,000 DOE Group Performance Bonus & Benefits Are you looking for an opportunity to provide specialist financial advice that will help shape a company's strategy and financial growth plans? Do you have experience working with multiple stakeholders in a matrix organisation? Are you looking for a role that provides the opportunity to manage and develop Analysts within the team? If you answered YES, we're looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team based in Northampton Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, your key purpose will be to provide financial expertise and analysis to support delivery of the business plans and the development of business' strategy and financial plans for growth. Specific responsibilities will include; Providing advice and analysis to the business to support the most effective, efficient and economic use of its financial resources. Providing an advanced level of financial support and analysis, for customer bids, product development, supplier tenders and investments. Providing analysis for contract negotiations and new products/services as appropriate Providing financial analysis and support for business change initiatives, supporting the business in developing appropriate assumptions and identifying key sensitivities Supporting the on-going financial planning processes across the business, working with business managers to identify appropriate business drivers. What background do you need to succeed? The ideal candidate will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with a depth of experience gained PQE. Experience in a commercial role within a PLC environment and/or the utilities sector would be advantageous. With a commercial mindset, you'll be able to apply key financial and commercial principles to break key decisions into costs, profits and added value. A creative and innovative individual, you'll be happy providing new solutions to streamline processes and questioning traditional assumptions in order to increase reporting effectiveness. This role will give you the opportunity to work collaboratively with stakeholders across both the finance team and wider business, therefore you'll be confident presenting to and influencing a variety of individuals in order to progress changes in ways of working. An inspiring individual, you'll also have the opportunity to manage and mentor a small number of Analysts as they progress in their careers, therefore any experience and interest in developing others is key.
