Salary:
£45, to £55, based on experience Jupiter Marketing Limited operates in the fresh produce industry, specialising in growing grapes, as well as citrus fruits, top fruits, stone fruits, kiwis, soft fruits along with various exotic fruits; sourced from local land sources, we have personally invested in. Having built an extensive network of agronomy specialists, fruit growers and pack house facilities, the company's growth and unique position in the fresh produce industry sector has seen Jupiter Marketing position itself as a market leader in the field with expansion in South Africa following the company's acquisition of South African fresh produce company, Bonaire, as such, now requires an Financial Manager to work on the management on such financial growth and ensure the relationship between the UK and the South African entity will see a smooth transition. The Role Main duties and responsibilities The successful candidate's duties and responsibilities will consist of the following: General Management : Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures with appropriate internal controls for all the Jupiter SA entities Implement an efficient process that works for al Jupiter SA entities utilising Sage, X3, Mfiles and QX Manage/Process of all paperwork for suppliers to enable an accurate and prompt supplier payment run Oversee the preparation of payroll Manage outsources functions and relationships relating to the accounts department Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design and implementation of an organisational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives for all of the Jupiter SA entities Develop and maintain sound business relationships with external parties bankers, auditors, insurance brokers, etc. Develop and monitor appropriate KPI's to drive accounts team and system performance improvements Manage the taxation affairs in all jurisdiction including corporation tax and other relevant taxes and duties Assist in process improvements for other departments with the business Business/Strategic planning : Forecast short and long range cash requirements on a regular basis Oversees treasury function, ensuring adequate funds are available to make necessary payments on time Oversee or prepare annual operating budgets and integrated long term financial forecasts for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow (2-5 years) Work with senior management to develop a long term strategic business plan Business/Strategic planning : Establish and maintain financial reporting systems with controls and procedures that safeguard company assets and ensuring adequate segregation of duties exists Issue timely and complete financial statements Coordinate the preparation of the year end Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations Compliance : Co-ordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit Comply with local and government reporting requirements Experience, Skills and Education Completion of ICAEW articles with reputable audit firm Completion of Honours Bachelor degree in Accounting with reputable university Studying towards or have completed ACCA qualification Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience with reputable audit firm Minimum of 5 years of work experience in reputable South African fruit exporter/producer Extensive knowledge of IFRS and GAAP Extensive knowledge of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment 'B-BBEE'. This includes performance of 'GAP' analysis and verification. Extensive exposure to QX and X3 Experience in SAGE payroll administration. Includes annual EEA reporting to the South African Department of labour, monthly PAYE submissions and annual IRP5 submissions to the South African Revenue Services Experience as company secretarial and all aspects involved Extensive cash flow and budget management experience Ability to read and write in Afrikaans - Expert level Interested candidates should forward their Curriculum Vitae with a covering letter detailing relevant experience to .
