Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has an new opportunity for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their expanding team. Southend-on-Sea Borough Council employs around 1,700 staff, who work together to deliver a wide range of services that meet the needs of those who live, work and visit the area. Your new role
You will be assisting the senior finance business partner with the management and financial administration of a specific area of the Council's activities. Working closely with the Service managers, you will carry out monthly monitoring and analysis, and report on variances. You will be part of the year-end closedown processes as well as preparation of annual budgets. There will be some line management responsibility within the role, as well as the expectation to assist in developing and mentoring junior staff.
What you will need to succeed
You must be a CCAB qualified accountant with experience of Business Partnering within your current role. You should have demonstrable experience of working within a large and complex organisation as part of a team, supporting various business units. What you'll get in return This is a permanent position, paying between £37,849 - £43,662 (dependent on experience).
