Hays Senior Finance are working with an Edinburgh based organisation to recruit an ambitious and driven Finance manager on a permanent basis. Our client is passionate about the success of the business and the quality of products in their portfolio. This opportunity would suit a part or newly qualified accountant looking to develop within a forward thinking commercial setting.

Your new role
As Finance manager you will report to the Financial Controller, ensuring the smooth running of finance and operational activities. You will work as part of the management team to deliver management accounts, forecasting, fixed asset management and oversee transactional processing activities across purchase and sales ledger transactions, payroll and VAT. You will also support variance analysis and process improvement across the team and Implement processes to drive improvement in the finance and operations functions. Additionally you will manage a finance assistant, supporting development and ensuring best practice across all financial matters.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience in a fast-paced environment with a passion for improving processes and growing a high performing business. Experience in the SME sector would be preferred with either partly qualified status or at newly qualified level. This is a "hand on" environment where Inventory and cash management are key to continue the growth of this high performing business.
