Chris Hayes Associates is currently recruiting for a reputable organisation based in West Bromwich looking for an experienced credit controller. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will be working as part of a small team to maximise cash collection and reduce aged debt. Duties to include: Pro-active outbound collection activity; phone calls, emails, statements, letters. Maintain integrity of own portfolio of around 150 accounts by ensuring regular reconciliation with customer's account payable. Ensure queries are entered promptly and liaise with customer services to drive through to resolution. Ensure stop status of accounts is accurately maintained and communicated in line with credit procedures. Ensure customer's orders on hold are dealt with promptly and released where appropriate in line with deadlines. Ensure cash collection and aged debt reduction targets are met Escalate non-compliance to credit policy to Credit Supervisor Recognise and escalate cash flow problems Allocate cash as required when cash allocation person is absent Month End procedures as required The successful credit control will join a friendly and hard working team so must come with the same ethics.
