INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER - GATWICK £45-55K (DOE) - PERM THE ROLE: We have an exceptional opportunity, to be part of a high performing team; working within a world class challenging audit department as an Internal Audit Manager .This is an excellent opportunity to gain invaluable insights into the business as a whole and how we operate. It is probably the only role where you'll have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of all aspects of our business which could be advantageous for future opportunities. This role includes extensive travel in the UK, Ireland and across the Northern European region with possible secondments to other markets worldwide if required. RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an Internal Audit Manager you'll be responsible to: - assist in accomplishing our mission and objectives by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's governance, operations and control processes; - ensure there is appropriate follow-up of audit recommendations; - and perform advisory services related to governance, risk management and control (when required). In this role, your key tasks will be as follows (included but not limited to): - Supervise and perform internal audit engagements of units performed by respective Internal Audit (NIA) team; - Perform (i.e. participate, review, challenge and present) the preliminary risk-based assessment to properly plan the internal audit engagement(s); - Monitor internal audit progress and resolve any issues and conflicts in due time; - Assist the Regional Audit Manager in following up the implementation of action plans taken by the Management for internal audit engagements performed in its Markets/region; - Assist the Regional Audit Manager in preparing the reporting of internal audit results to local management committees (e.g. local Compliance Committee), representing NIA in the relevant meetings, workshops, etc., and providing advice to the local Senior Management or any other responsible employees on audit findings, corrective/mitigation actions or improvements required. - Effectively manage its internal audit team to create value, e.g. hire the best candidates possible, develop them to ensure proficiency and due professional care and support them in their transition outside of NIA function. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: As an Internal Auditor you'll be able to make an impact from day one. You'll feel comfortable to challenge the status quo from the outset whilst being resilient when conducting audits and receiving feedback from your stakeholders. What is critical is your ability to communicate effectively across a range a stakeholders coupled with your ability to demonstrate a high level of curiosity and analytical skills.
