Treasury Accountant
Totum Partners are delighted to be working with a top 30 UK legal firm and assisting them in their search for a newly created Treasury Accountant role which will ensure that global cash management operations are managed efficiently and effectively. The role will work closely with the Head of Finance, Internal Audit and the global Finance network on all aspects of Treasury operations. The main duties liaising with global Finance managers on the firm's cash flow position and maintaining cash flow forecasts for the group, anticipating cash requirements and addressing any shortfalls. You will measure monthly cash management performance against forecast and budget for the group and take ownership and administration of the groups cash flow reporting and forecasting system. Another focus will be to assist with developing and implementing the groups Treasury and Online Banking policies whilst ensuring that robust controls and processes exist around Treasury operations. You will take the lead on developing currency hedging practices with third party advisors and clearly communicate the results of such hedging to senior management. The Treasury Accountant will develop and execute policies and practices around the settlement of inter-company balances ensuring that FX exposure is reduced. You will assist in the management of bank relationships and facilities, including covenant reporting, quarterly updates, refinancing, renewals and bank charges. You will monitor facility usage and managing the drawdown of RCF facilities are will have responsibility for maintaining bank mandates, the register of online banking users and being an administrator on all online banking platforms across the group. Applicants should be qualified accountants or have significant treasury experience ideally within the legal or professional sector. You must have prior experience of dealing with banks, cash management, FX analysis and FX hedging desirable and have experience of working within a multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional environment. Excellent communication skills are necessary (written and oral) with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, orally or in writing with all levels of stakeholders and staff including partners and senior members of the management team.
