This profitable international Infrastructure Construction, Design & Engineering Projects & contracting group, t/o £2bn, operates through several key operating divisions and specialises in the design, planning and maintenance of some of the world's most iconic infrastructure. Enjoying continued growth in recent years, the business has ambitious plans to capitalise on this success. As a result of an increasing number of large projects, the group is currently seeking a part qualified or finalist accountant to undertake a new role as a Finance Analyst. Supporting a key Infrastructure business division, you will improve the month and year end reporting processes, enhance understanding of the operating unit balance sheet and provide analytical support to the divisional finance teams. Your brief incorporates:
• Leading the delivery of month end process, group reporting & system close procedures
• Management of data reporting systems
• Responsible for completion of balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing & analysing monthly financial reports
• Preparation of schedules for audits & liaising with internal & external auditors
• Preparation of annual R&D, Corporate Tax, VAT & PSA returns to Group Tax team
• Supporting the preparation of quarterly forecasts
• Ensuring compliance with process documentation & recommending improvements to processes
• Preparing & posting journal entries As a studying part qualified or finalist accountant with proven management accounting experience, double entry bookkeeping and strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulae, v-lookups and sum-ifs, ideally gained within a project focussed sector (although not essential), you will be a bright, enthusiastic individual capable of supporting senior stakeholders and adding value to the division.
