You will be working for a highly successful engineering and manufacturing company with creativity at its core. The company has grown substantially in recent years and plans to continue that growth. They have a strong market position both in the UK and Internationally and a team that work together creating bespoke furniture, lighting and hardware pieces, using hand crafted and traditional methods. Looking for a Finance Manager to report to the Commercial Manager/Managing Director, to replace a long-standing member of the senior team and take full responsibility for the financial administration and processes within the organisation. Responsibilities:
Management Accounting - provide daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc MI as required to understand and manage the business. Financial Accounting - maintain integrity of accounts including up to date reconciliations. Manage day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as cash flow management, payroll, invoicing, and other transactions. Track the company's financial status and performance identifying areas for potential improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Undertake cost analysis of opportunities to produce detailed reports, financial models and plans to assist the business in making strategic decisions. Develop relationships with Group FD and external advisors / auditors as required Assist with the planning and upkeep of stock controls Where required present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives and management team. Manage projects including moving the accounts from Quickbooks to Sage, improved Group Reporting, review of credit card payments. Manage, motivate and develop staff to do bank reconciliation, purchase ledger and other functions. Essential Requirements: Part or fully Qualified Accountant or QBE Excellent excel skills - pivot tables, vlookup etc Experience of small company pc-based accounting software eg QuickBooks and/or Sage. Able to communicate effectively at all levels and operate as a trusted partner to the management team. Helpful Payroll experience Knowledge of working within an engineering / manufacturing /process environment. Experience of International trading and handling foreign transactions. Multi-site experience.
