Our client is a specialist asset manager focusing on all aspects of credit and structured finance, with a focus on European & Asian markets. With a mission statement to deliver recurring stable investment performance; through active investment management focused on maximizing total returns while minimizing investment volatility. They now seek an experienced Fund Accountant to take them to the next step on their journey. Their approach relies upon the close interaction of "specialty" investment management teams across the full spectrum of credit markets to identify idiosyncratic investment ideas. This integrated approach complimented by a state of the art risk management and trading platform allows for the real time monitoring of all dimensions of credit risk. Thanks to its extensive origination capabilities in credit & structured finance markets, our client is well positioned to participate in investment opportunities arising from bank deleveraging in Europe. This position will report to a Senior Fund Accountant PRIMARY FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operations on illiquid transactions - Real Estate Lending, Direct Lending, Securitisation, Structured Credit, Private Equity, etc. Booking of illiquid transactions in in-house systems further to analyse the deals Closing and Settlement of transactions Cash reconciliation and control of SPVs activity with administrators Execute capital calls and distribution to investors Fund Accounting of Hedge Funds: Liaise with administrator : send trade details and explain bookings Monthly reconciliation of the NAV between Company systems and the administrator NAV packs: reconciliation of positions, cash, expenses, performance fees Contribute to the audit by providing documentation to auditors CANDIDATE QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Technical skills, required knowledge and experience Knowledge of financial products, in particular Loans Good accounting knowledges Skilled in MS Office Suite, particularly strong in Excel (pivot, building perf fee model, etc.) Geneva or Fund Accounting system Macro / VBA is a plus Personal Attributes Autonomous and independent, creative problem solver Anticipate potential issues and proactively acts upon these Highly motivated, self-starter Strong interpersonal and relationship building Sound judgement and able to act with discretion at all times Client services orientated Collaborative team player Excellent verbal and written communication Strong attention to detail, highly organised and process driven EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education / Certification University degree with finance and accounting modules
