FTSE listed business based in central London is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst for a 6 month period. This role is responsible for key activities around managing the stock price variance provisions as well as maintaining excel models, processes, and controls. The role holder is responsible for the preparation of the monthly adjustments in accordance to group accounting policy as well as communicating to the impacted units and the Senior Finance Manager - Cash and Balance Sheet. Working in partnership with stock teams and the finance units, ensuring that there is resilience and shared understanding around the treatment of stock throughout the month and the provisions required. Ensuring compliance with group accounting polices Responsible for communicating all changes and monthly position to all key stakeholders Key contact for external Auditors: Managing flow of information to deliver optimal outcome of audits with minimal disruptions to the team Assisting with project plan to ensure external Auditors receive what they require in a timely manner. Ownership of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the P&L: Focus on ensuring checks and balances are in place for an accurate month end position Liaising across the business to ensure the balance sheet reflects business and Group finances expectations. Run variance analysis to explain commercial drivers behind forecast variance Lead balance sheet month end review Lead business partner across commercial teams Ownership of forecasting and reporting of all central and support functions Ensure budget is set appropriately by working closely with HR and budget owners. Changes are agreed at the right level and insight is provided on any movements vs existing budget Reporting is delivered accurately and to agreed timetables, delivering appropriate insight into any variances and feeding as required into the R&O process Badenoch Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
