Central London We are delighted to be supporting one of the largest grant-making charities in the country. The Foundation provides circa £20 million in support each year to help hospices, families, other charities, air ambulances, international disaster relief appeals and more. Accountant - Job Description: The Accountant's purpose is to oversee and manage all accounting elements, book-keeping, investment portfolios, invoices and of all of the charity's bank accounts including daily cash updates, reconciliations and cash flow reporting. In addition, the Accountant will deal with a growing company secretary function and assist in general reconciliations. Duties will include: - Production of daily cash liquidity positions - Month reconciliations of the numerous bank accounts with SUN cashbook - Oversight and management of cash flow - Maintain bank mandates and authorities - Strong participation and involvement in statutory accounts and journal process Key Experience Required: SUN and Q&A experience, good book-keeping skills, experience of investments with knowledge of cash flows, Excel skills that include formulae, lookups and pivot tables. Person Specification: The ideal candidate will be qualified by experience (AAT or NVQ in Accounting is desirable but not essential). Previous experience as an assistant accountant with a solid financial background, Excel skills and an ability to understand investment and transaction ledgers will be beneficial. It is important that this person has a good work ethic, is analytical with strong attention to detail and is able to work in a team and communicate well.
