Head of Finance

Salary:
Up to £65,000 (with benefits, including Company car and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays) Our client is part of the world's largest kitchen manufacturer of high quality and world class kitchens, with more than 70 years of experience. Based in the UK, they have offices in Manchester, York and Sutton, currently there are 40 stores across the UK which they aim to grow to 100 within 3 years. As such, they are looking for a pro-active, flexible professional to join their Senior Management Team. This is a newly created role and offers a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused individual who wants to make a real difference. Capable of supporting the Sales & Operations Director to drive this growing business forward, you will be a self-motivated individual who is comfortable with a 'hands-on' role but will have the ability to contribute at a strategic level. The role is based in Manchester, but there will be weekly travel (sometimes including overnight stays) mainly in the UK, with the occasional travel to Germany. Your role will be varied and challenging and will include - Developing and supporting your team. Financial planning, forecasting & benchmarking. Budgeting. Commentary to SMT on accounts. Review of and improve accounts systems. Ensuring compliance with statutory and fiduciary duties. Involvement in wider operational projects. To be considered for this role you must: Have previous experience working at this level in industry. Experience of working with franchises desirable. Have experience of implementing and maintaining financial controls. Be a CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified accountant or be qualified by experience. Have advanced reporting and MS Office skills, especially using Excel. Be proficient with Sage Line 50. Possess excellent communication skills and be able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand. Possess strong influencing skills.
