Top law firm seeking a Group Accountant to join their corporate reporting team for 6 months with strong potential to go permanent. I am currently recruiting an excellent 6 month contract position as group accountant with one of the largest law firms in the UK. My client based in fantastic offices in Holborn are looking for a qualified accountant with group exposure. This role offers fantastic growth opportunities for someone looking to develop their skill set with exposure to senior stakeholders in the business, budgeting and forecasting. With the profile of finance being raised in the firm by the new CFO their is ample opportunity for growth and the option to go permanent later down the line. The key responsibilities of this group account role include: Produce year end consolidated financial reporting information Liaising with the wider group to prepare analysis that will be included in the Board Report Liaising with the auditors at year end Taking responsibility (as part of the team) for ensuring our audit compliance is completed Production of the monthly reporting information for inclusion in the Board Report Analysing and interrogating monthly results against budget Preparing monthly and annual group balance sheet reconciliations Implementing new accounting standards including IFRS 9 & 16 and communicating this to the business units and senior management. Liaising with senior management regarding the information required for financial year end the production of reporting outputs Reviewing and implementing process improvements across the group The ideal candidate for this group accountant role will have: ACA/ACCA qualified with experience in professional or financial services 2 years' experience in a fast-paced and changing environment Experience preparing consolidated statutory accounts Experience in a group reporting role would be advantageous Proactive and inquisitive mind set Excellent analytical and data manipulation skills Confident communicator If you are interested in this excellent opportunity please get in touch at
