Note:this role is within Corporate Tax but other opportunities do exist within Audit and Accountancy. The Role Working in the Tax department , you'll be helping a wide range of clients - from wealthy individuals to major multinationals - so it's important that you're adaptable. You'll often need to explain complex technical information during client meetings and in written reports, so graduates with excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates also need to be team players who enjoy interacting with others and are curious about how businesses work. A career in tax isn't just about numbers. It's about working with people and businesses to make sure tax doesn't become an obstacle to their long-term goals. The Training You will work towards the CTA qualification either through the Tax Pathway route (ATT/CTA) or the Joint Programme route (ACA/CTA) . Alongside your technical training, you will attend internal developmental training courses to ensure you have the professional and personal skills to become a trusted Chartered Tax Advisor. The Candidate It is not just about exam results ,although a good academic record is a pre -requisite , passion, personality and originality are just as important. Academically you will need: 112 UCAS (new tariff) across 3 A Levels or 104 (new tariff) across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers A predicted/obtained honours degree.
