We are about to enter an important part of our growth journey and we are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join us on that exciting journey, could that be you? The Role The standalone position of Finance Manager will be required to maintain internal finances, ranging from transactional duties, up to the production management accounts. You will also work closely with the Managing Director to provide real-time information to support commercial decisions and strategy. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a proven track record as an all-round company accountant, preferably within an SME. On Offer The position of Finance Manager has a lot of flexibility with the ability to be either part - time (4 days) or full-time (with flexibility) and will be based in our Edinburgh office. The position is offering a competitive salary with excellent benefits. You will be involved in but not limited to the following: Defining and delivering a strategy of continual improvement to the Accounts processes as the company evolves Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts & updating company P&L Accruals and Prepayments Balance Sheet Reconciliations Fixed Asset Register Managing cash-flow forecasts and assisting with the budgeting process Reviewing overheads and identifying cost and efficiency savings Preparing Quarterly VAT Submissions Liaising with external Accountant on preparation of the Annual Accounts Oversight of purchase and sales ledger with occasional credit control Reconciling of supplier invoices, updating accounts using Xero and making supplier payments To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must have the following: Proven track record of operating as an all-round Accountant preferably in an SME environment A proven track record of being hands on within a small finance function including liaising and influencing senior internal & external stakeholders Qualified, Part qualified or qualified by experience will be considered for this opportunity.
