An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Group Accountant to work for this highly successful company.Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, your duties will be as follows: 1. Effective management of a team of 4 who process all of the Head Office invoices and control several divisional activities 2. Managing the month end close process for all Head Office entities including prepayments and accruals 3. Responsible for maintaining the fixed asset register, balance sheet reconciliations and other required journals 4. Preparation of monthly management accounts, supporting schedules and commentary for all Head Office entities 5. Preparation of half yearly financial reporting packs and communicating with the auditors 6. Preparation and management of the budget and forecast for all Head Office entities requiring liaison with cost centre owners across the business 7. Preparation of pension scheme accounts 8. Analysis of weekly sales reports 9. Consolidation, review and analysis of divisional information 10. Producing other ad-hoc financial reports for management You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and have been working as an Accountant in a fast-paced environment with strict reporting deadlines.IT literate with a high proficiency in Excel, you will be able to adapt to new systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
