Finance Officer Tunbridge Wells Connect2Staff are working in partnership with a fantastic school based in the area of Tunbridge Wells, who are looking for a Finance Officer to join their supportive and positive team from September 2019 on a permanent basis. This is a term time only role, working 37 hours a week 40 weeks a year. Main

Responsibilities:
Formatting salary proposals in line with the School Development Plan. Maintaining and monitoring all budgets, and present regular management reports. Ensure effective control of income and expenditure. Assist in coordinating finance policies, processes and all relevant documents to ensure that the school is financially compliant. Assist in complex systems including: Financial Management System, Business Planning System and Pupil Premium. Negotiating contracts and tenders to ensure the most efficient use of resources to ensure best value for money at all times. Requirements: Motivate yourself and other staff in providing a positive outlook and effective working environment. Be ambitious, professional and show commitment to your own personal development and career progression. Have experience in using SIMS, FMS6 (school accounting tool) and Budget Planning Software. Significant experience of working within a finance role. Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) with accountancy and finance knowledge / skills. Ability to communicate with senior members of staff both verbally and in writing. Competent in MS & Excel Packages.
