Finance Director - Job Description Interest Free Travel Season Ticket Loan Scheme Generous pension scheme Key Purpose: The Finance Director position is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the Trust, to include the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Trust assets and report accurate financial results. Principal accountabilities are: Strategic Providing strategic advice to the CEO, Trust Board of Directors and Principals/Heads of School on all issues relating to financial matters Preparing the Trust's annual financial forecasts, forecasts for corporate strategies and plans in consultation with the CEO and senior colleagues Developing and implementing strategies for maximising the Trust's current finances Managing the finance function and overseeing the development and maintenance of financial systems and procedures, including appropriate IT systems Being accountable to the CEO for the proper financial operations of the Trust Building close and effective working relationships with key partners Leading on Procurement and achieving best value Estate Management and maximising income generation from the estate Participating in the management of major Trust projects as required by the CEO (See completed Job description in application pack). TBAP Multi-Academy Trust Finance Director - Advert Salary - SMG scales £65K - £70K p.a.(dependent on experience) TBAP Multi-Academy are seeking an outstanding Finance Director with chartered accountancy status and senior leadership experience to help us to achieve our strategic objectives. The Finance Director is a key appointment for TBAP Trust. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team you will provide strategic and professional leadership, by, developing and directly overseeing the finance and operations strategy across the Trust. In addition you will offer advice, and insights to the Executive leadership team and the Board of Trustees in determining the strategic business direction of the Trust. The successful candidate will also be the Trust's Company Secretary advising on best practice governance. TBAP Multi-Academy Trust includes eleven Academies delivering high quality Alternative and SEMH Provision across four London Boroughs, Cambridgeshire, Essex and the North-West of England. Additionally, we have a Teaching School Alliance that offers extensive CPD and research programmes at all levels. In September 2016, we opened an innovative new 16-19 Academic AP Free school, which provides an academic curriculum to enable learners to gain access to Higher Education. You will have proven experience, within the education or other relevant public or business sector, of strategic leadership of a finance service, developing innovative income streams, the ability to balance the strategic and operational priorities and ensure that we deliver an organisational culture of financial compliance. You will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to promote and demonstrate our values of resilience, compassion and innovation, a demonstrable record of developing and maintaining positive working relationships with stakeholders, and knowledge with full understanding of the financial procedures and regulations that apply to Academy Trusts and its funding. Knowledge of PS Financials as a process tool is desirable.
