NEW Credit Control Opportunity to Join an Ambitious & Rapidly Expanding Tech Company in Surrey Are you an outgoing and friendly credit controller currently in the market for a minimum 12 Month Contract role working for an extremely friendly and dynamic local company? Do you have a good knowledge of credit management as well as IT skills to include Excel & Word? Do you live locally to the Kingston/Epsom area and seeking a challenging and fulfilling Contract role offering a 1st class remuneration/benefits package and guaranteed work for the next 12 months and potentially beyond? Our client is a Sunday Times Top 100 Fast Track Company and at the cutting edge of a rapidly expanding industry sector with conveniently situated offices between Epsom & Kingston Upon Thames. This highly professional, ambitious and sociable organisation currently has a fantastic opportunity to work within their Finance Department as a Credit Control initially on a 12 month maternity contract basis. They are looking for an experienced credit controller with a good understanding of the basic concepts of credit management and a track record of meeting tight deadlines and targets and a summary of the role appears below:- Credit Control, ensuring monthly term and collection targets are met in accordance with company policy. To manage and reduce aged debt by raising customer awareness primarily via telephone but also letters and emails. Pursue all debts over 30 days if applicable and ensure effective follow up and resolution. Produce for circulation to all managers and sales reps weekly collection reports on payments and queries. Escalate problem accounts /bad debts to the Financial Controller/ CFO and Head of Sales. Prepare all court documents and liaise with the courts regarding legal action against the customer. Liaising with the Sales team to ensure customer queries are resolved in a timely manner. Review weekly meeting with the Financial Controller and Head of Sales as to updates on all customer queries. Liaise with the accounts assistant on payments being received in the bank. Send out all copy invoices as and when required. Allocations of payments/credits Taking credit card payments over the phone. Build strong relationships with customers Applications for this important role are particularly welcome from experienced credit controllers with a good understanding of the basic concepts of Credit Management. You will be very well organised with the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task & have a 1st class telephone manner proficient in telephone cash collection. Strong IT skills will also be required especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
