TED's guide to what the Finance Analyst (Europe) does round here Working within the Europe Finance team and closely with the European Finance Manager, the Finance Analyst (Europe) will be supporting the business with producing the Europe financial reporting each period and ensuring financial controls are operating effectively. In addition, working with the Commercial Finance Team, you will be responsible for the budget process as well business partnering with the European Retail Team and collaborating closely with the Commercial Finance Team to ensure the identification of risks and opportunities and supporting the business to make effective decisions. Reports to: European Finance Manager (ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified) Key Responsibilities Key focus on the period-end process for the Europe Retail and Head office businesses. This includes full PL ownership and elements of the Balance Sheet. Supporting the Europe Retail and Head office Budget process including business partnering with Ted Baker budget holders. Ownership of quarterly reforecasting and 5-year plan. Supporting the creation of a consolidated Financial Board Pack for the Ted Baker Group. Periodic business partnering with the Europe retail team. PL Preparation and control of the Europe Retail and Head office accounts on a periodic basis including accruals, prepayments. Co-ordinating and consolidating the Europe PL in a timely manner on a periodic basis. Preparation and control of the Europe Retail and Head office budgets and Forecast (PL). Balance Sheet Ownership of Europe Debtors, to make sure all Debtor payments are collected, allocated accordingly and reconciled. Ownership of Europe Bank Reconciliations, to make sure all payments are allocated accordingly and reconciled. Completion of all balance sheet recs ensuring that they carry no risk and are fully reconciled on a periodic basis in a timely manner. Reporting Ownership of the periodic group finance Board Pack with insightful and relevant commentary. Ownership of the business/operational reporting on periodic basis to relevant areas of the business including a periodic Management Pack. Statutory Assisting with local statutory accounts, audit queries and liaising with auditors to ensure complete compliance. Other Supporting EFM through actively Business Partnering with Budget holders to extract efficiency benefits and provide challenge to their business area. Provide periodic commercial support, through period end reporting, highlighting trends & forecast possibilities. Compiling and analysing data as required to support business decision making and assisting the Europe Managers with adhoc analysis. Working collaboratively with the Commercial Finance team on Forecasting/Budgeting & adhoc analysis.
