About the team: The EMEA corporate tax team consists of two experienced tax professional and is responsible for all corporate tax reporting, compliance, and advisory matters across the region. The EMEA tax function reports directly into the groups global tax function which is based in Jacksonville, Florida. What you will be doing: The tax analyst role will be focussed on supporting the existing EMEA tax team to ensure the smooth running of the EMEA tax function. This will include being responsible for all tax payments, processing invoices and dealing with internal and external stakeholders. An important part of the role will be to annually convert all UK financial statements into iXBRL format. In addition to these daily activities, you will be supporting the EMEA tax team with the daily tax compliance process including assisting with tax provisioning, tax returns and any other ad hoc projects. Your responsibilities will include:
• You will be responsible fo in house ixbrl tagging of UK and Ireland financial statements (training will be given - no experience required)
• You will manage all tax payments and refunds for the region
• You will manage all tax invoice payments
• You will assist collating information to feed into tax returns, tax audits and other tax calculations
• You will assist the tax manager to review tax provision calculations and Tax returns
• You will maintain internal tax calendar with key dates
• You will maintain a schedule of key tax attributes and other relevant information for all EMEA entities What you bring:
• You have an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures and standards
• You communicate ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
• You have the ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
• You have the ability to understand and apply learned concepts
• You have attention to detail, you are accurate and can handle confident information
• You are able to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
• You have experienced at using various Microsoft Office programs - MS Excel, MS Word etc Added bonus if you have:
• You have experience in ERP systems will especially Oracle. Not required as training can be given.
