Company My client is a market leader in the media and publishing industry and are rapidly expanding year on year. They are well renowned internationally and expansion has led to them recruiting for talented Purchase Ledger clerk to join their central London based headquarters. Role The Purchase Ledger clerk will report into the Management Accountant and will be responsible for the following: Logging of invoices prior to distribution to departments for approval. Ensuring invoices are authorised at correct level and authorisation levels are kept up to date. Processing authorised invoices on the finance software and ensuring they comply with expenses policy. Processing weekly payment runs across all territories. Reconciliation of supplier statements to the ledger and reviewing aged creditors. Posting petty cash journals and ensuring that GWR has enough petty and foreign cash available for sundry expenses. Assist the Management Accountant in ad hoc queries and reporting requirements. Profile The ideal candidate will have 12 months of experience in Purchase ledger and will have processed a high volume of invoices. Preference will be shown to candidates who have multi-currency experience. You must have good Excel skills and must be very organised. The perfect candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and you must be keen to learn.
