Finance Manager -Production -Global TV & Film Group -Rapid growth: excellent career prospects -£50-55,000 base plus competitive bonus & superb benefits This thriving TV & Film group is a household name with operation throughout the globe. They are also an employer of choice with a healthy balance sheet and a multiple-award winner in terms of their content. They are now looking to recruit a hands-on but commercially astute Finance Manager to look after the financials for one of their fastest growing divisions. Reporting to the FD this is a broad & business facing role working with all areas of the business with a focus on core actual but also some FP&A/business partnering as well. Main
Responsibilities:
• Full responsibility for the monthly management reporting - P&L, Balance Sheet, variance analysis;
• Responsibility for FP&A: annual budgeting & quarterly forecasting and long term planning
• Main point of a contact between productions and finance, ensuring cost reports are challenged
• Responsible for the administration of the Tax Credit claims;
• Primary contact for external audit and responsibility for filing of statutory accounts;
• Responsible for quarterly VAT returns;
• Oversee administration of greenlight process for new productions;
• Financial controls/systems - create and administer controls of business and ensure adhered to;
• Identifying any new system needs within production flow
• Business partnering - with COO, Legal, Production teams;
• Management of Assistant Management Accountant;
• Build a business awareness of upcoming production and development slate
• Ad-hoc project & analysis work as directed by the FD You are a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of month-end, financial reporting and ideally some business partnering in a TV Production or related Entertainment industry. The ability to quickly establish credibility with sales and business teams and take a bigger picture view whilst still keeping a tight reign on the financials is paramount . This is a fantastic opportunity to come on board at the early stages of this divisions evolution, progress rapidly with the business and see your efforts make a tangible difference.
