As a Credit Controller you will be enthusiastic and a self-starter with a can-do attitude. You will be responsible for your own set of customers, ensuring efficient collection of monies owed and ensuring that debtor days are kept to a minimum. You will proactively identify and address any queries in order to reduce debtors' days, ensuring risks are escalated as appropriate. You will work closely with key stakeholders including the Sales Team, Customer Services, and external Customers in order to build strong relationships and improve cash collection. As part of your day to day role as a Credit Controller you will be tasked with the following: Ensuring an exceptional level of accuracy across all own accounts Customer query management of all own customers. Assist with new process implementations Collection targets - ensure all collections targets are met on a monthly basis - there is a financial incentive scheme in place to recognise success Encourage customers to pay by BACS / Credit Cards in order to reduce payments by cheques Provide detailed weekly reporting on the following: - Total Debt Outstanding at the start of the week - Total of Credit Control Team Debt transferred to Old Debt Team in the week (by CC Team Collector) - Credits Raised (by Customer) -Collections Made during the week (by Customer / by Collector) - Total Debt Outstanding at the end of the week -Total of Debt awaiting credits (by Customer / Collector) -Total of Debt in Legal Proceeding Status (by Customer / Collector) -Forecast of anticipated cash collections for a rolling 4 weeks (by Customer / Collector) The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
• Proven experience of consisitent successful debt collections within a Credit Control role
• Experience of working with foreign currencies would be beneficial but not a must have
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft packages, excel, word etc - intermediate Excel skills required - pivot tables, vlook-up
• Excellent skills at building successful customer and stakeholder relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Fluency in written & oral English
• Accountability and ownership of workload
• Team Player
• Effective planning and organising skills
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Good communicator - particularly phone conversations
