Our clients Finance team in Witney covers a broad and diverse scope of activities, including Planning and Forecasting, Inventory Control, Management Accounting, Fixed Assets and Customs as examples. The successful candidate will have the amazing opportunity to support both Finance and Operations Management, contributing to the day-to-day functioning of the department, and to ongoing process simplifications and improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary function for this role is to support the day-to-day functioning of the Finance department.
• Compiling indirect labour headcount reviews, analysis and reconciliation of the Company HC tracker and ownership of reducing the number of finance re-classes in the Month End Close process. This includes presenting and reviewing results with the Finance Director.
• Preparing and analysing Cost Centre review presentations for review with senior operational managers
• Responsible for assisting with the planning and LBE cycles, particularly around creating Future Year planning templates and assisting with the consolidation
• Responsible for supporting the timely completion of month end including preparing and posting relevant month end journals after consultation with various parties across the business
• Contributing to the Monthly Business Review presentation to the leadership team by preparing slide decks
• Understands and leads the analysis and forecast preparation of the R&D business whilst under guidance of other team members. Understanding variances with the aim being to present results and obtain commentary for variances from the relevant R&D stakeholders
• Responsible for coordinating and consolidating the Balance Sheet Month end report to the US
• Leading the documentation of processes and procedures within the Overhead and Consolidation areas of finance and liaising with key members of the team to gain a rounded knowledge of the Finance function
• Leads the daily Perpetual Inventory Count process which allows Abbott to comply with Financial regulations without having to stop production for inventory count. This includes creating metrics for the Class A publication.
• Other Ad hoc responsibilities as they arise At the end of the role you will be capable of analysing, interpreting and concisely presenting large volumes of financial data to both Finance and non-Finance leaders. REQUIREMENTS:
• Achieved a minimum of 2.1 degree from a finance related degree course.
• Achieved 300 UCAS points in 'A' Levels
• Intention to pursue a career in Finance and complete a professional accountancy qualification after University (e.g CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
• Basic grasp of accounting principles
• Good knowledge of Excel and Power point
• Good communication skills
• Driven and motivated
