Head of Finance £80,000 - £90,000 per annum London We are working with a high-growth online travel business that has grown exponentially since its inception and is now looking for a Head of Finance to join them in a newly created role. They are currently achieving a £100m turnover and have been acquiring businesses internationally, as well as growing organically through dominating more market share within the UK. They are looking at a transaction within the next 1-2 years, so this is an exciting time to join the business. The Role: You will sit within the wider leadership team and be responsible for creating a strong reporting and control environment, as well as business partnering with the CFO and MD to achieve group strategy. What you will be doing: Providing financial advice to the group regarding the growth strategy and individual projects / initiatives that would help deliver it Understanding the performance drivers across the group and challenge the risks and opportunities to deliver forecast Preparing business cases, including financial benefit analysis and risk management Preparing the board presentations, ensuring the strategy is properly articulated and tracked. Leading and managing the planning and budgeting process across the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and all key KPIs Assisting the Group CFO to challenge the strategy, 3-year plan and budget Managing the monthly MI, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting process, including consolidation processes across the group (including one-offs reporting, risk management reporting, initiative reporting in P&L / KPIs) Maintaining a robust financial control environment, ensuring that risks are adequately mitigated with appropriate controls and processes are constantly challenged. Ensuring up to date and robust balance sheet reconciliations, with risks and opportunities appropriately reported and managed. Taking ownership of financial processing (i.e. accounts payable, credit control, etc,) to deliver best in class service levels and efficient transaction processing. Monitoring and managing the group's liquidity position and associated debt levels against covenants. Ensure the group has clear cash flow targets and delivers cash initiatives that optimise the working capital cycle. Proposing FX hedging levels for approval by the Group CFO, ensuring that FX hedging is within policy. Delivering continuous improvement in the efficiency, quality and consistency of accounting and reporting. Overseeing the annual audit process, tax and other regulatory reporting processes. Leading and supporting the development for the group finance team. Promoting a culture of excellence across the team and wider division. Cultivate a high performing finance team with success plans in place at every level. Supporting due diligence processes within the business, from both a buy-side and sell-side perspective. Deputising for the Group CFO and collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and embed clear standards of quality and service. Team management of 10-15 staff. About you: Strong technical knowledge and good commercial financial experience in industry is preferable Experience of leading and development teams Demonstrable ability to build strong, scalable systems and procedures Business partnering and strategic skills - ability to challenge and influence at senior levels Able to build relationships across all levels of the organisation Good understanding of the Tour Operator business model and market is advantageous Desire to dive into the detail when required Great flexibility and resilience with ability to adapt and works effectively with a variety of situations, individuals or groups Strong modelling and excel skills with ability to process and summarise large amount of data. Proactive in dealing with issues Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met
